Detailed educational qualification, experience and other criteria for selection of faculty positions shall be as per the Schedule “E” of the First Statutes of NIT (Amendment Statues, 2017) (Ref. Gazette of India dated July 24, 2017) and subsequent clarifications received from Ministry of HRD, New Delhi. The details are available on the website (http://www.nita.ac.in/). All qualifications, experience and preferred age limit will be considered as on the last date of submission of application online i.e. 31-03-2021.

Job/Position Description-

Online applications are invited for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor (Grade-I) and Assistant Professor (Grade-Il) at NIT Agartala in various Academic Departments. The applicants may apply through the online application submission system available at the Institute website (http://www.nita.ac.in/). Minimum Pay Scale of the Post: Pay Level 10/11/12 as er CPC

Name of the Post= Assistant Professor (Gr.l) Pay Level 12 (as per 7^thCPC) equivalent to Grade Pay of Rs. 8000/(as per 6^thCPC) and Assistant Professor (Gr.ll) — Pay Level Il & 10 (as per 7^th CPC) equivalent to Grade Pay of Rs. 7000/- & 6000/- (as per 6th CPC) respectively

Application Fee: Candidate should pay a nonrefundable application fee through online payment as below

For the candidates other than SC/ST/PwD catagory: INR 1000 (rupees one thousand only per department.
- For SC/ST category: INR 500(Rupees five hundred only) per department.
- PwD category: Nol fee is required.

The post of Assistant Professor is on direct selection basis only.

Application submission system is available at the Institute website http://www.nita.ac.in.
The online portal will allow the candidate to print the filled-in application after successful electronic submission.
Candidates are advised to make sure that all the details as entered are correct before final submission.
Applications received through any other mode shall not be accepted and will summarily be rejected.
Every completed online application shall be identified by a unique application reference number.
The applicant has to take printout of the online application after final submission.
The applications will be screened at the Department and Institute levels and shortlisted.

All Original documents with one set of self-attested copies [educational qualifications, date of birth, experience, caste certificate, identity proof (Election I-Card/UID Aadhar/PAN etc.) check list etc.] and two passport size recent photographs of the candidate will have to be produced at the time of verification of documents/interview (if shortlisted).
