About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with a number of members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye Laws and as per the provisions of the relevant Act. RA Position at IACS
Research/Job Area- Physics

Eligibility/Qualification–
Area:
Broad Research Area: Inorganic & Bioinorganic Chemistry
Specific Research Area: Transition metal mediated generation and reactivity of Sulfur-Nitrogen Crosstalk Species
Essential Qualifications: The candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Sciences / Chemistry. Candidate should have well established research experience in bioinorganic chemistry, most preferably in the area of nitrite reduction, nitric oxide chemistry and sulfur/nitrogen crosstalk species. The claimed experience should be supported by publications in internationally reputed journals.
Age limit: Should be below 35 years on the date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.
Job/Position Description-
 Applications are invited for two RA-I (Institute) positions under the supervision of Prof. Amit Majumdar, School of Chemical Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.Â
Name of the post: Research Associate-I Number of posts: Two (02) Research
Tenure of Fellowship: One (01) year from the date of joining as RA-I. The candidate will have no right to claim (explicit or implicit) any post in the institute.
Fellowship: As per rules of IACS.Â
Note: No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
