About- Madhabdev University, Assam, has released an official notification inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for 21 teaching positions across multiple departments. The recruitment includes 7 Professor, 9 Associate Professor, and 5 Assistant Professor vacancies. Eligibility/Qualification–

• Be an Indian citizen.
• Meet the educational qualifications, experience, and other eligibility criteria prescribed by the UGC for Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor posts.
• Submit valid reservation certificates (where applicable).
• In-service candidates must apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

Pay Scale: ₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 (Academic Level as per UGC norms)

Associate Professor – 9 Posts

• Political Science – 1
• Zoology – 2

Pay Scale: ₹1,31,400 – ₹2,17,100

Assistant Professor – 5 Posts

• Botany – 1
• Chemistry – 2
• Physics – 1
• Sociology – 1

Pay Scale: ₹57,700 – ₹1,82,400

Selected candidates will be responsible for:

• Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Conducting quality research and publishing scholarly work.
• Guiding student projects and research activities.
• Participating in curriculum development and academic administration.
• Contributing to departmental, university, and outreach activities.
• Performing other academic duties assigned by the University.

Application Fee

• General/OBC/MOBC: ₹2,000
• SC/ST: ₹1,500

Separate application fee is required for each post if applying for multiple positions.

Selection Process

The recruitment process includes:

• Scrutiny of applications by the Screening Committee.
• Shortlisting based on eligibility and merit.
• Interview of shortlisted candidates.

Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview.
