About- Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Indian Nationals only) on a plain paper / prescribed format for the following temporary position(s) in the research project entitled Developing an artificial intelligence-based algorithm for exploring reaction mechanisms sponsored by UoH-IoE vide Sanction File No. UoH-IoE-RC2-21-010, Dated 30 August 2021.

Eligibility/Qualification–
| Essential Qualifications | PhD with experience in life science imaging/microscopy/imaging OR MTech/BTech/BE/ME (or a suitable equivalent technical degree) with extensive hand-on experience and deep technical expertise in microscopy/optics/advanced instrumentation OR MSc (In Life Science/Physical Sciences or equivalent degree in relevant discipline) with extensive research experience AND in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of advanced imaging & microscopy Should be proficient and comfortable with microscopes and imaging including high-end, cutting edge systems |
| Experience (Desirable) | Candidates with a strong technical background and knowledge and candidates with extensive microscopy experience would be strongly preferred. Candidates with knowledge of cutting-edge optical manipulation/adaptation of microscopes and optical set-ups and image analysis would be strongly preferred. Experience in operation of high-end confocal, super resolution microscopy systems is desirable. |
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for the position of a Imaging and microscopy senior project and programme associate on contractual basis in the University of Hyderabad.Applications are invited from suitably qualified, highly motivated candidates for this position of Imaging and Microscopy Senior Project and Programme Associate for the Imaging facility of School of life Sciences (SLS), University of Hyderabad (an Institute of Eminence, designated by Govt. of India). The candidate must have aptitude for and suitable training and experience in microscopy of biological samples/optical instruments, and have the ability to manage and improve an imaging facility equipped with multiple state of the art, high-end microscopes and imaging set-ups. Candidates should have technical ability as well as ability to facilitate ongoing research by giving advice and input about imaging approaches.

| Principal Responsibility of the position | The Candidate would be expected to manage microscopy facilities at SLS, UoH, interface with faculty and students and assist in designing imaging experiments and protocols and take responsibility to ensure that high-end microscopes like confocal, STED super-resolution, multiphoton and other microscopes are in working condition and suitably maintained. Candidates are expected to conduct regular training of students and oversee/train technical assistants who will be assisting researchers during imaging. Candidates would also be expected to help with conducting experiments on a Super-resolution STED microscope, or any other highly advanced imaging set-up as required. Candidates would interface with microscopy vendors and ensure smooth operation of imaging facility to facilitate ongoing and new research. |
| Salary | Rs. 50,000/- per month (consolidated) |
| Tenure | Tenure of the appointment is purely temporary in nature. It is for a period of one year with possibility of further extension. Services can be terminated due to non-performance and work satisfaction of the candidate before the completion of tenure also. |
