About- The Department of Biochemistry, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for 01 position of Principal Project Associate under a research project titled “Linking Mitochondrial Nucleoid Remodeling to Dysfunction Macrophage Intrinsic Immune Responses to Intracellular Gram-positive and Gram-negative Bacterial Infections” (ANRF/ARG/2025/001912/LS).

Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential Qualification
Candidates should possess any of the following from a recognized University or equivalent:

- Pharma / MD / Master of Surgery
Desirable Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Independent project management experience
- Specialization in cell-culture-based host–pathogen interaction research
- Experience with molecular and cell biology techniques
- Experience in safe handling of pathogens in BSL-2/BSL-3 facilities
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience after PhD
- Good track record in the area of infectious diseases
- Training/working experience in BSL-3 is preferred
Age Limit
Maximum 50 years.

Designation: Principal Project Associate
The selected Principal Project Associate will work on the research project concerning the relationship between mitochondrial nucleoid remodeling and macrophage-intrinsic immune responses to intracellular Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections.
The role requires research experience relevant to infectious diseases, particularly host–pathogen interaction studies, cell culture, molecular and cell biology techniques, and pathogen handling in appropriate biosafety facilities. Candidates with independent project-management experience and BSL-3 training/working experience are preferred.
