Eligibility-
Rules and Regulations issued by UGC and Govt. of Maharashtra from time to time, regarding educational qualifications will be applicable to this advertisement.
- A Master‘s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
2) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SET.
OR The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time)
- For post at No. (10/23 – 05 and 11 ) – For these posts: posts will be filled from Applied / Physical / Organic / Inorganic / Analytical / Industrial Chemistry.
- For post at No. (10/23 – 09) – Candidate must possess M. Sc. in Comp. Sci. with NET / SET / SLET.
- For post at No. (10/23 – 10) – Specialization – Agrochemicals and pest Management / Chemistry, Botany (Plant Pathology) /Zoology (Entomology). For Post at No. (10/23-15) – Candidate must possess Post Graduation in Geography with Diploma / Degree / M.Sc. / M. Tech. in Geo-informatics (Geographical Information System) with NET or SLET or SET or Ph.D.
- For Post at No. (10/23-31) –M.S.W. with NET/SET [Specialization Urban and Rural Community Development]

Qualification for the following posts of Assistant Professor is as per Government of Maharashtra, Government Resolution dtd.11/09/2019, AICTE Notification 01/03/2019 and AICTE letter 08.03.2019.

Applications are invited in prescribed format available online on Shivaji University website www.unishivaji.ac.in (URL www.unishivaji.ac.in/recruitments) temporary posts to be filled in the University in Various Departments, Self Supporting Departments, and Center for Distance and Online Education. The said appointments will be made on purely temporary basis for the academic year 2023-24 under Section 103 of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.
- Pay – Rs. 32,000/- p. m. consolidated.
- Tenure- All these Posts will be filled purely on temporary basis for the tenure of only 11 months duration for the academic year 2023-24.
