About- Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals to join in the following positions coterminous with the project duration. Research Associate-I Position at ILS
Research Job/Area- Life Sciences, microbiology, biochemistry & molecular biology
Location- Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, India
Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential qualification: First class postgraduate degree including the integrated PG degrees OR second-class postgraduate degree including the integrated PG degree with Ph.D. OR for Engineering/ IT/CS-First Class Graduate Degree of 4 years.
Desirable qualification: Candidates who know NGS data analysis, for example, Exome, Whole-genome, RNAseq, ATAC-seq, etc., and have experience in programming R-Bioconductor, Python will be preferred. A brief write-up (one page maximum) explaining, bioinformatics research experience and publications (if any) should be submitted along with the application.
Age Limit: The candidate should be below 35 years in age, as on 31st May 2025. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
Project Description-
Job Specification: The person should be responsible for analyzing next-generation sequencing data.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Rupesh Dash, Scientist-F, ILS, Bhubaneswar
Projects Title: (DBT funded project) “Decoding epigenetic landscape of drug resistance in colorectal carcinomas (CRC) – (BT/PR56446/BMS/85/813/2024)”.
Position: 1. Research Associate-I- Bioinformatics (Non-Medical) (01 position)
Remuneration: Rs. 58,000/- per month + @18% HRA
Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.
