Eligibility/Qualification–
- The applicant must have obtained the Ph.D Degree from an Institute of Repute.
- NIT Mizoram Ph.D Degree holders are not eligible under this scheme.
- The applicant should have published at least 2 research papers in SCl/SC1E/SSCI journals.
- Women Ph.D will be given preference.
Job/Position Description-
Post–Doctoral Fellows Tenure and Fellowships:
The appointment of Institute Post-doctoral Fellows (IPDF) is of purely a temporary assignment and is tenable for an initial period of 1 year that can be extended to a maximum period of another 1 year based on the recommendation of the concerned Mentor and subsequent approval of the Competent Authority. The Post-doctoral Fellows shall be entitled to receive the grants as given below:
- The amount of the fellowship for [PDF will be Rs.65,000/– only per month inclusive of I–IRA for a period of one year and if the PDF term is renewed for 1 more year, then the fellowship will be Rs.67,000/– only per month.

Interested candidate(s) satisfying the eligibility criteria may submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) including all publication details, name of the Institute for MA/MSc/M.Tech and Ph.D along with the Name of the Supervisor, areas of research already conducted at Master’s and Ph.D level or thereafter, the Proposed areas of works with all attachments by email to:

Candidates should submit all related supporting documents duly self-attested as attachment with the application form by email.
- Receipt of online payment (of Rs. 500/-for General/OBC OR Rs. 200/- for SC/ST) in favor of ‘Registrar, NIT Mizoram’ payable at SBI Bangkawn Branch, Aizawl Mizoram should be provided in the Curriculum Vitae (CV). Transaction ID should be clearly mentioned at the end of CV.
Women candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.
- Candidates are advised to mention their Contact No. & Email IDs correctly in the CV. Names of the short-listed candidates for attending presentation cum interview shall be made available on the Institute’s website or may be intimated by e-mail by the respective Head of the Department.
- Hard copy of the filled-in application CV completed in all respect is to be produced as per the instruction of Institute’s Authority. If the candidate(s) fail to produce the original application form and supporting documents, or if their claims are found to be incorrect on verification, their candidature shall be cancelled automatically.
- List of finally selected candidates shall be published on the Institute’s website.

- List of Selected Candidates shall be announced by 15th October 2024.
- Selected IPDF are expected to joint by 1st November 2024.
