IIT-Kanpur, UP, India invites application for Faculty Recruitment 2019 in IITK from eligible and interested candidates
About- Applications are invited from Indian nationals (including Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs)) and foreign nationals for the posts of Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors in various departments. Faculty Recruitment 2019 in IITK
Research/Job Area- Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences & Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Earth Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Economic Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Industrial and Management Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Mechanical Engineering and Physics.
Location- IIT-Kanpur, UP, India
Eligibility/Qualification–
Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout (also see in Notes below). In addition, for:
Professor: 10 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Associate Professor.
Associate Professor: 6 years teaching/research/industrial experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record in all preceding degrees.
For a fresh Ph.D, the position will be on contract basis for the first three years and will be regularized afterwards. For those with three or more years of teaching/research/industrial experience regular appointment may be made.

Foreign national here means a person who does not have either an Indian passport, or a PIO/OCI card. Foreign nationals can be offered contractual appointment for up to five years. The appointment can be renewed thereafter.
