About- National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is one of India’s premier national institutions for technical education. This was formerly known as Calicut Regional Engineering College. NITC is a technical institution of national importance set up by an Act of Parliament (Act 29 of 2007). NITC offers academic programs leading to B.Tech., B. Arch., M.Tech., M.Plan., M.C.A., M.Sc., M.B.A., and Ph.D. degrees in the appropriate disciplines. Eligibility-

The essential and desirable qualifications, experience, and other criteria for selection will be in accordance with the Recruitment Rules for faculty in NITs, as outlined in Schedule E of the National Institute of Technology Calicut Statutes, 2017 (formerly known as “The First Statutes of the National Institute of Technology”), issued by the Gazette of India on 24^thJuly 2017, the clarification issued by the MHRD/MoE on 16^thApril 2019, and the amendment statutes published in the Gazette of India on 6^thJune 2023. The selection procedure shall be governed by the Recruitment Rules and Office Memoranda (OMs) issued by the MoE, Govt. of India from time to time.

The preferable age limit for Assistant Professor – Grade II (Pay Level – 10) is 35 years as on the closing date of the application portal. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD will be as per the Government of India norms.

Job/Position Description-

The National Institute of Technology Calicut, an Institution of National Importance renowned for its quality education in Engineering, Humanities, and Education, invites online applications from Indian nationals and Overseas Citizens of India for the position of Assistant Professor Grade II (to be appointed on a contract basis) in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix of the 7^thCPC. This is for various departments within the Institute, to fill the reserved category vacancies as per the table provided below.

Applicants under the OBC (other than women) category have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2500/- (Registration fees of Rs.1000/- and Application fee of Rs. 1500/- per application), and applicants under SC, ST, Women and PwBD category have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- (Registration fees of Rs.1000/- and Application fee of NIL per application).
