Eligibility/Qualification–
1. Engineering (Civil & Mechanical)
- B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
2. Physiotherapy
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (B.P.T/B.P.Th./B.Sc.PT.)
- Master’s in Physiotherapy (M.P.T/M.P.Th/M.Sc.PT) in Orthopedics/Neurology with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
3. Computer Science
- MCA / M.Tech. in Computer Science.
4. Culture, Media & Governance
- Master’s degree with 55% marks (or equivalent) in media/communication/journalism/media governance or allied subjects OR in Social Sciences with specialization in media (as evidenced by research/published work).
- NET in Social Sciences is compulsory, except for candidates with Ph.D. meeting UGC rules.
- Desirable: Ability to teach courses in areas like Intellectual History of Media, Media & Society in Asia, Information Governance & Policy.
5. General Requirements for all posts
- Good academic record.
- Knowledge of Urdu and Hindi is desirable.
- Other conditions and eligibility relaxations as per UGC norms.
Job/Position Description-
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, invites applications for the engagement of Guest Faculty for teaching in various Departments for the academic session 2025-26. Positions are available across multiple faculties and specializations. Applications must be submitted to the relevant Department/Centre by August 22, 2025.
Guest Faculty will be responsible for teaching undergraduate/postgraduate classes, preparing course materials, and undertaking other academic duties as assigned by the Department/Centre. They are to share an equal workload as Assistant Professors (Contractual).
Remuneration:
- ₹50,000/- per month (honorarium).
Appointment:
- For the academic session 2025-26 or until vacancy exists.
