About- National Institute of Technology, Warangal, formerly known as Regional Engineering College, was established in 1959. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the foundation stone for this institute on October 10, 1959, the first in the chain of 30 NITs (formerly known as RECs) in the country. Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with First Class in preceding degrees.
- For some Computer Science and Computational Data Science posts, M.Sc./MCA may be eligible with a relevant background.

Age limits vary from 35 to 50 years depending on post, with relaxations as per government rules.

Job/Position Description-

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card holders for various faculty positions. Applicants are expected to have strong academic credentials, research aptitude, and a passion for teaching and institutional development.

Designations Available:

Professor
Associate Professor
Assistant Professor Grade I
Assistant Professor Grade II

Conduct high-quality teaching and research in relevant engineering, technology, or science disciplines.
Participate actively in curriculum development, mentoring, and institute growth.
Responsibilities include guiding undergraduate and postgraduate students, executing sponsored research, and contributing to national and international research initiatives.
Faculty will receive:
- Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance (subject to availability of campus accommodation).
- Children Education Allowance, Medical Reimbursement, LTC, and Pension/NPS benefits.
- Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA) and initial research seed grant (Rs. 5 lakh for new recruits).

Selection Process:

Scrutiny and shortlisting based on eligibility and higher criteria.
Presentation of teaching & research seminar and personal interview for shortlisted candidates.
