A walk-in interview is being conducted for the guest appointment of Assistant Professor(s) in Microbiology for the academic session 2026–27. Eligible candidates meeting the UGC prescribed qualifications for Assistant Professor are invited to attend the interview with their resume and relevant certificates. The appointment will be on a guest faculty basis, and selected candidates will be paid honorarium per lecture as per UGC norms.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories must bring a self-attested copy of the category certificate issued by the competent authority.

OBC candidates must belong to the Non-Creamy Layer category, and their caste should appear in the Central List of OBCs.

The Non-Creamy Layer certificate must be issued after 31 March 2024 as per Government of India guidelines.

Designation: Guest Assistant Professor

Selected candidates will serve as Guest Assistant Professors in the Department of Microbiology and will be responsible for:

  • Delivering lectures and teaching assigned courses.
  • Supporting academic activities and student learning.
  • Conducting up to 04 credit courses in a semester as guest faculty.
  • Maintaining teaching standards according to institutional and UGC regulations.

Guest faculty will receive ₹1500 per lecture, subject to a maximum monthly honorarium of ₹50,000, as per UGC guidelines.

Teachers currently working in other colleges/universities may also serve as guest faculty only if the teaching assignment is over and above their prescribed workload and they provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent institution.

Interested candidates should attend the walk-in interview on the scheduled date and bring:

  • Updated Resume/CV
  • Original certificates and testimonials
  • Self-attested copies of educational and category certificates (if applicable)
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent institution (for currently employed teachers)

Note: No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
