About- Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has released a notification inviting applications for Assistant Professor (Contract) positions in its constituent University Colleges located across Telangana. The recruitment is open to eligible candidates belonging to Telangana State under Article 371D. Appointments will be made on a purely temporary contract basis for 11 months with consolidated pay.
Faculty vacancies are available in Engineering, Pharmacy, Sciences, Humanities, Management, Environmental Studies, and Physical Education.

- University College of Engineering, Manthani (UCEM)
- University College of Engineering, Sultanpur (UCES)
- University College of Engineering, Mahabubabad (UCEMB)
- University College of Engineering, Palair (UCEPL)
- University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sultanpur (UCPS)
Important: Separate applications must be submitted for each college. Transfers will not be permitted after selection.
Eligibility/Qualification–
For Engineering & Pharmacy Departments
Candidates must possess:
- Undergraduate (UG) Degree in the relevant discipline.
- Postgraduate (PG) Degree in the same/similar discipline.
For Humanities & Science Departments
Candidates should possess:
- Postgraduate Degree in the relevant subject.
- NET qualification or
- Ph.D. awarded in the relevant discipline.
Eligibility
- Applicants must belong to Telangana State as per Article 371D.

Note: The number of vacancies may change depending on the approval of the competent authority.
Selected candidates will:
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Deliver lectures and practical sessions.
- Prepare course materials and assessments.
- Participate in academic and departmental activities.
- Perform duties assigned by the respective college administration.
The appointment is:
- On a consolidated salary.
- Purely temporary.
- Valid for 11 months only.
- Renewal is not automatic.
Selection Process
Selection will be based on:
- Written Test or Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates will receive updates through:
- SMS
Hall tickets will be issued on the day of the Written Test/CBT.
