About- The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), through its PhD Cell, DIC, is offering 225 Post-Doctoral Fellowships (PDFs) to outstanding Indian researchers with a proven research record. The fellowship is designed to encourage cutting-edge research in emerging technology areas and to strengthen industry-academia collaboration. This is a 1-year, full-time research opportunity in recognized Indian academic and R&D institutions.

Eligibility/Qualification–
- Indian citizenship required.
- Ph.D. from a recognized university with a First Class in all preceding degrees.
- Ph.D. must have been awarded within the last 5 years from the date of application.
- Upper age limit: 40 years.
- Must not be in regular employment; temporary academic/research roles are acceptable but must be relinquished upon selection.
- Should not have completed Ph.D. from the same institution where the fellowship is to be pursued.
- Must identify a suitable mentor/guide with a regular academic/research position and a Ph.D. in Science or Engineering.
- Preference to those with active industry linkages and industry-specific research proposals.
Job/Position Description-
The Post-Doctoral Fellowship involves:
- Independent research on a proposed project aligned with emerging technologies.
- Industry-oriented problem-solving, with clearly defined outcomes and deliverables.
- Utilization of contingency funds for equipment and consumables.
- Full-time commitment—no engagement in any other fellowship or employment.
- Work to be conducted at the host institution that has been allotted a PDF seat.
