About- Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic program of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments and five inter-disciplinary academic centers covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and Ph.D. programs. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world-class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.

Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD in Chemistry/Biological sciences or allied subject with good scientific publication record. Candidates who have submitted their thesis are equally eligible for the position. The percentage/grade points in academic qualifications should be a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards, and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.
Job/Position Description-
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a Post-doctoral Fellow.
Job Description: The desired candidate must have strong skills in Synthetic organic chemistry/ and Biochemistry. Previous experience in drug discovery/ medicinal chemistry will be taken as an advantage.
Duration: 1 year
Salary Range: Rs.60000 – Rs.75000 per month (depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate)
