Postdoctoral Associate Position 2019 in USA, Duke University
Designation/Position- Postdoctoral Associate Position 2019 in USA
Duke University, USA invites application for Postdoctoral Associate Position 2019 in USA from eligible and interested candidates
About- Postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Dong Yan at Duke University, NC, USA. It focuses on dissecting molecular mechanisms of neural circuit formation, regulation and degeneration in C. elegans. We apply classic genetic manipulation combined with live imaging and biochemical approaches to uncover key insights into neural circuit formation in young animals and neural degeneration in old animals. We currently have projects focusing on the following areas: i) neuronal circuit formation; ii) gap junction regulations; iii) ageing-related neurodegeneration. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developmental and molecular/cellular biology, genetics, confocal microscopy and a strong interest in neurobiology. Candidates must hold a PhD or MD or MD/PhD degree (or anticipating such a degree prior to starting the postdoc) and have prior publications. Postdoctoral Associate 2019 in USA
