Research/Job Area- Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry or Biotechnology or equivalent

Location- University of Groningen, Netherlands

Eligibility/Qualification–

This is an interdisciplinary project. The candidate may hold a PhD Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry or Biotechnology or equivalent.

Expertise in molecular biology (recombinant DNA techniques, protein expression and purification), chemical modification of proteins or peptides will be an advantage, but not a limiting factor.

Job/Position Description-  A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Prof. Giovanni Maglia in the department of Chemistry and Biotechnology of the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. The appointment will be initially for two years and might be extended to a maximum of four years. Exceptionally motivated PhD candidates are also encouraged to apply.

The University of Groningen offers a salary dependent on qualifications and work experience of € 2,709 gross per month up to a maximum of € 4,274 gross per month (salary scale 10 Dutch Universities) for a full-time position.

This position is defined according to the UFO function profile ‘researcher 4’. The appointment is temporary for a period of two year with the perspective of prolongation with two additional years.
