Location: Department of Chemical Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, India

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD candidates who have submitted their thesis are eligible to apply for postdoctoral positions funded by TIFR-CAM.
  • Only candidates with external sources of funding (such as NPDF, NBHM, and Airbus fellowships) can be hosted in TIFR-CAM after undergoing the same selection procedure as other applicants.

Job Description:

Selected candidates will:

  • Develop and conduct state-of-the-art ultrafast spectroscopic experiments
  • Probe electron, spin, and nuclear dynamics in advanced materials
  • Apply and improve time-resolved techniques (Optical, Raman, and X-ray)
  • Interpret experimental data using theoretical simulations and model Hamiltonians
  • Contribute to revealing fundamental design principles in materials for energy, information, and quantum applications
  • Work on projects with potential access to large-scale user facilities and international collaborations
  • Participate in international exchange scholar programs
  • Gain expertise applicable to both academia and industry
