National Institute of Technology Nagaland, India, invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) positions from eligible and interested candidates.

About- National Institute of Technology Nagaland is among the 31 NITs established at Chumukedima, Dimapur by the Government of India by an Act of the Parliament offering UG, PG and Ph.D. programs in Engineering/Technology and Sciences. Applications are invited for the faculty positions of Assistant Professor (Grade-I & II) from Indian nationals possessing excellent academic background, commitment to quality teaching and potential for carrying out outstanding research by the approved norms.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and IT/IT enabled Services (ITES)

The fellowship is awarded to candidates with a proven academic record, demonstrated through peer reviewed publications and recognitions.

The candidate must have obtained a PhD degree from a recognized university, with first class at all academic levels with a strong academic record throughout.
The PhD must have been awarded within the last five years as of the last date of application.
Candidates currently holding regular employment are not eligible. However, those in temporary positions in academic or research institutions may apply but must resign if selected.
Applicants must not have completed their Ph.D. from NIT Nagaland (host institution).
The upper age limit is 40 years as of the last date of application.
The applicant must submit a research proposal with clearly defined objectives, expected outcomes, and deliverables.
Preference would be given to those who have active industry linkages and their research proposal is directed towards industry specific problems

Salient features of the PDF Scheme

Fellowship – Rs. 1.08 Lakh per month
Contingency – Rs. 1.0 Lakh per year
