Eligibility/Qualification–
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Must have a PhD from a recognized university with a first-class record at all academic levels.
- PhD must have been awarded within the past 5 years from the application deadline.
- PhD must not be from IIT Patna.
- Maximum age limit is 40 years on the date of application submission.
- Should not be in regular employment; those in temporary positions must relinquish their role if selected.
- The research proposal must clearly state objectives and expected outcomes.
- Candidates currently in regular employment are not eligible.
Job/Position Description-
Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IITP) is offering a Post-Doctoral Fellowship under the Visvesvaraya Scheme. The fellowship aims to attract highly motivated and bright scientists and engineers to pursue advanced research at IIT Patna. The position is temporary and is intended to further high-level research in designated areas.
- The Post-Doctoral Fellow will carry out advanced research as per their submitted and approved research proposal, with constant engagement and presentations to the selection committee at IIT Patna.
- Fellows will receive:
- Monthly fellowship of Rs. 1,08,393/-
- Annual contingency grant of Rs. 1,00,000/-
- Travel support up to Rs. 2,10,000/-
- Fellows are expected to contribute to the research ecosystem at IIT Patna and may have additional requirements as determined by the academic department.
