About- Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up post of  SRF/Project Research Scientist –I on-contract basis for the ICMR funded collaborative project entitled “Decoding Speech Imagery in subjects with Post Stroke aphasia using consumer grade EEG devices” under Dr R Subasree, Additional Professor & Principal Investigator, Dept. of Neurology, NIMHANS.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential QualificationsPhD degree holders or masters in ECE/CS/EE from reputed institutes  are preferred.
1.First Class Post Graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees in  computer science/electrical engineering/ECE.
2.Second class Post graduate degree including the integrated PG degrees with PhD 3.For engineering/IT/Computer Science-First class Graduate degree of four years.
Desirable Experience2-4 years’ experience in academics or research is desirable Good experience in Acquiring EEG signals using Emotiv/high density EEG, experience in AI/ML modelling, Signal processing, mathematical modelling and efficient in MATLAB/PYTHON Ability to communicate in English (and Kannada ) and able to work independently.
Age limit35 years

Job DescriptionTo assist in clinical research, documenting clinical and aphasia scores in predesigned proformas, coordinating with co investigators and IIIT bangalore colloborators, designing and administering of experimental paradigms of speech imagery, performing EEG recordings in stroke subjects  AI/ML model development of EEG obtained from subjects with stroke aphasia and drafting progress reports quarterly and  generating IPR in terms of patents and publications.
Emoluments56000/- + 27% HRA(15,120)=Rs.71,120/- per month
Duration of the  post6 months and if found to be satisfactory, will be extended by further 6 months.

Other requirement / conditions/ information: The candidate will work closely with IIIT Bangalore and prior experience of acquiring EEG signals will be preferable.

The final appointment of candidates will be decided based on his/her merit and performance in the written and/or skill test. Only the short listed candidates will be called for written and/or interview.
