About- The Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), is a state-of-the-art research institute in Bangalore, India, dedicated to the study of stem cells and regenerative biology with translational emphasis. An autonomous institute funded by the Dept. of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, inStem’s research structure is built on a core of collaborative research with a thematic focus. inStem’s mandate to allow this cross-disciplinary, multi-pronged approach to research, straddles the divide between clinical and laboratory research. In trying to answer intractable and challenging questions that face the field, inStem seeks to rewrite the paradigm of the research institute: without barriers and across disciplines. Research/Job Area- Stem cell biology, Developmental biology, Cell biology, and/or Molecular Biology.
Location- Bangalore, India
Eligibility/Qualification–
(i) Doctoral Degree in Science from a recognised university or equivalent in Stem cell biology, Developmental biology, Cell biology, and/or Molecular Biology.
(ii) PS-II eligibility – 3year of post – PhD experience in R & D
Job/Position Description-
BRIC-inStem invites applications (in online mode) from eligible candidates for various contractual positions under a project funded by BRIC-SAHAJ. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
Project Scientist – I- Rs. 56,000/m + HRA
(or)
Project Scientist – II- Rs. 67000 +HRA

- Stem Cell biology related research requiring techniques including stem cell culture, all steps of quality control and differentiation of human stem cells and organoids as per prescribed protocols.
- Preparation of Microscopy samples, imaging
- Routine molecular biology work such as cloning, nucleic acid isolation, RT-PCR, and nucleic acid sequencing.
- Plan experiments, order reagents, and adhere to protocols
- Regular data analysis, project updates, literature survey, and presentation of data
- Participate in project team meetings and contribute to the projects intellectually
- Prepare professional reports, presentations, and lab records.
Tenure: Contractual appointment for 11 months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
