IIT (BHU) Varanasi invites applications for Research Associate at IIT (BHU) from eligible and interested candidates

About- Indian nationals are invited to apply for a temporary research associate position in the “Transcriptome analysis of Cancer cell line treated with Gedunin and ZINC000045971961 as novel Bruton’s tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor” project. The position is sponsored by LSRB, DRDO, Govt. of India, and is co-terminus with the project. The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnolgy or three years of research experience in molecular biology and cell biology. The tenure is initially one year, with the possibility of extension or termination based on funds and performance. Location- Varanasi

Eligibility/Qualification–

i). Ph.D. in Mining engineering in the area of ‘Rock Mechanics and Ground Control’. However, in special conditions the candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may also be considered.

ii). First class in B-Tech and M-Tech in Mining Engineering with minimum aggregate CGPA of 8.

iii). The candidate must have in-depth exposure of numerical modelling tools and its applications for investigating ground control problems in underground mines.

Age Limit:

Upper age limit is 32 yearsas on the of date of application, with relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Governmentof India norms.

Job/Position Description-

Applications are invited for the post of “Research Associate (RA)” on the contract basis in a research project titled “Assessment of Safe Parting Thickness and Optimum Goaf Edge Support Requirement for Extraction of Pillars” funded by M/s Coal India Limited. The post is co-terminus with the project.

Remuneration: INR 58,000 + HRA (@18%).
