About- The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has invited applications from Indian nationals for contractual project-based appointments under a Ministry of Defence sponsored research project. The institute is recruiting for two Research Associate positions in the field of semiconductor and nanoelectronic device research. The appointments are purely contractual with consolidated monthly fellowship and HRA benefits.
Research Area:
Ultrafast Spectroscopy, Single Photon Emitters, Avalanche Detectors, and Nanowire Quantum Devices.
Location: IIT Delhi
Eligibility/Qualification:
Educational Background: Ph.D. in Ultrafast Spectroscopy.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience building and operating ultrafast optical setups.
Note: A 5% relaxation of marks may be granted to SC/ST candidates.
Job Description:
The Industrial Research & Development (IRD) Unit at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi invites applications from Indian nationals for a Project Appointment. The selected candidate will work on a high-impact quantum devices project funded by the National Quantum Mission (NQM), Department of Science & Technology. The appointment will be on a contractual basis with a consolidated pay structure, subject to periodic performance reviews.

The appointed Research Associate will contribute to the project titled: “Development of On-Demand Single Photon Emitters, Single Photon Avalanche Detectors, High-Frequency Devices and Nanowire Quantum Devices Utilizing GaS and InP-Based Epitaxial semiconductors” (Sub-Project under Main Project # RP04951, MI03236G_SN).
The role involves designing, building, and running ultrafast optical setups to study and develop quantum devices and photon emitters. This is a contractual appointment for the duration of the project, with continuation subject to satisfactory periodic performance reviews.
