Eligibility/Qualification–
Qualification: Candidates having doctoral degree in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics or equivalent from a recognized university and fulfilling the guidelines as per DST-OM number: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/06/2023 are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having research experience in nitric oxide (NO) signaling, reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, biochemical assays, with at least one first author publication will be preferred.
Job/Position Description-
Walk-in-Interview on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 02:00 p.m. onwards for the post of one Research Associate-II
and Senior Project Associate
Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely temporary position of one Research Associate-II and one Senior Project Associate in the following projects under the supervision of Dr. Jagadis Gupta Kapugnati, Scientist, NIPGR.
- DBT-BIRAC project proposal entitled “Reducing Nox levels in the atmosphere to tackle air pollution via innovative biofilters using plants and beneficial microbes”.
Research Associate-II (one Post): Emoluments `. 61000/- plus HRA per month and as sanctioned in the project.
The above positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above positions is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on December 10, 2025 at 02:00 pm onwards along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 02:00 p.m. to 03:00 p.m. on December 10, 2025. Any candidate reporting after 03:00 p.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview. The candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, Ph. D thesis, publication in copy and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
