About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with several members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye-Laws and per the relevant Act’s provisions.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Candidate should either have a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences/Chemistry in the area of theoretical/computational chemistry with good academic records. Candidate must have expertise in QM/MM calculations and handling enzymatic systems.
Job/Position Description-
Centenary Building, IACS, Kolkata on January 8, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, for the recruitment of one Research Associate-I to conduct research in the area of QM/MM studies of metalloenzymes. Interested candidates with the following qualifications are required to appear along with a full bio-data.
Fellowship: As per rules of the IACS.

Time and Date of the Interview: The interview will be held in-person on__08/01/2026_____ (tentatively) starting from 11:00 am.
Duration: The post is purely temporary for 6 months and thereafter may be extended for 6 more months subject to the requirements of the group and only if the candidate performs his/her duties to the satisfaction of the principal investigator.
