About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with several members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye-Laws and per the relevant Act’s provisions.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Candidate should either have a PhD or submitted their thesis and awaiting doctorate degree in Chemical or Physical Sciences in the area of Quantum Computing with good academic records. Candidate must have expertise in Quantum Computing.
Research Area: Quantum Computing.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for the post of a Post-Doctoral research associate-1 to work in the area of investigation of quantum computing at School of Chemical Sciences, IACS, Jadavpur, Kolkata-700032.
Fellowship: As per the rules of the institution.
Last Date of application: 5th May, 2025
Time and Date of interview: Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email. The post is purely temporary for 1 year and thereafter will be extended for another 1 year if the candidate performs his/her duties to the satisfaction of the principal investigator.
