About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with several members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye-Laws and per the relevant Act’s provisions.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Candidate should have good academic records and high-quality research publications in PhD with at-least 1 year of postdoc experience. Good research ability or experience will be specially considered in the area of computational materials discovery, Machine-learning potentials and crystal-structure predictions.
Research Area: Computational Materials Genome and 2D-materials.
Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian citizen.

Walk-in-interview for RA-I position will be held on 28 Nov 2025 at 12.00 noon in the Roy Chowdhury Hall (centenary Building) of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS).
Name of the position: RA-I in School of Chemical Science under Prof. Ayan Datta, SCS.
No. of position: 01 (One)
Fellowship: As per rules of IACS.
Tenure: Initially for one- year subject to availability of funds. Maybe extended for 1 more year on successful evaluation.
No TA will be admissible for attending the interview.
