Eligibility/Qualification–
- General Requirement: Candidates must possess qualifications strictly as per the norms prescribed by regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, BCI, RCI, and CoA at the time of application submission.
- Educational Background: Master’s degree (M.Tech, M.Plan, MBA, M.Sc., M.A., M.S.W., or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
- Preferred Credentials: Candidates holding a Ph.D. or who have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) are highly preferred for the base remuneration bracket.
- Experience: Applicants from reputed institutes/universities with evidence of published research work and teaching experience at the University/IIT/NIT level are desirable.
Job/Position Description-
Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is inviting applications for faculty positions for the academic session 2026-2027. The university is looking to hire highly qualified academics across multiple disciplines, including Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Biotechnology, Management, Law, Vocational Studies, and Humanities. This is a contractual engagement intended to support the university’s academic and examination processes for the upcoming academic year.
Designation Assistant Professor (On Contract for Fixed Duration – OCFD)
- Contract Duration: The appointment is purely on a contract basis for a fixed duration of maximum 11 months for the Academic Session 2026-2027.
- Remuneration: A consolidated monthly emolument of INR 57,700/- will be paid to candidates fulfilling the entry-level requirements (NET/Ph.D. or appropriate PG qualifications as per regulatory norms).
- Duties & Responsibilities: Appointees are required to perform all assigned academic and administrative duties. This includes mandatory completion of the entire examination process (Regular, Back paper, Special paper, Repeat) for their allocated courses, even if it extends slightly beyond their contract term.
- Leaves & Benefits: Faculty members will be entitled to 5 days of casual leave per semester and a total of 5 days of academic leave during the entire contract duration for attending conferences or training programs. Accommodation may be provided on campus subject to availability.
