University of Delhi, New Delhi, India invites application for Research Associate in Indo-Russian DST project from eligible and interested candidates
About- Applications are invited for one “Research Associate-III” position to work in Indo-Russian DST project entitled “Design and Optimization of Biocompatible Optical Nanostructures for Biomedical Applications” under supervision of Prof. Ramesh Chandra. Appointment will be made as per DST guidelines for RA-III position

Research Positions at CSIR-IMTECH: Emoluments upto 49,000/+HRA p.m.
Eligibility/Qualification–
- Candidates must have Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching, and design & development experience after MSc/MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech in Chemistry/Chemical Synthetic & Process Technology/Nanotechnology or related areas, with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
- Candidate preferably should have experience in the field of Optical Nanostructures, Design, Synthesis, and Biomedical Applications.
Age Limit: The upper age limit for applying for the award of RA shall be 35 years. The upper age limit is relaxable, up to 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to scheduled castes/scheduled tribes/OBC, Physically handicapped, and women applicants.
• Note: If suitable candidate is not available for RA-III, then position may be filled at pay levels of RA-I/II.

Remuneration:
Candidate will be paid as per DST guidelines@54000+HRA24% *.
Service Conditions
DA: Research Associate will not be entitled to DA.
House Rent Allowance (HRA)
Candidate may be provided hostel accommodation wherever available. Research fellowship holder residing in hostel shall not be entitled for HRA. Wherever provision of hostel accommodation is not possible, HRA may be allowed, as per Central Government norms applicable in the city/location where they are working. The percentage required for calculating HRA will be based on the fellowship amount.
Medical Benefits
The research associate will be entitled for medical allowance as applicable in University of Delhi.
Leave and other entitlements
Research Associates are entitled to leave as per the rules of the host institution. Participation of RA in scientific events/workshops held in India or abroad will be treated as “on duty” with the due approval of the host institution. The travel entitlement for RA for participation in scientific events/workshops held in India will continue to be the same as earlier i.e. 2nd AC by rail. Maternity leave as per the Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time would be available to female candidates in all categories.
Bonus & Leave Travel Concession– Research Associate will not be entitled to these allowances.
Duration of Fellowship: The candidate will be appointed initially for one year and after evaluation may be continued till the tenure of the project(two years). If the work report is not satisfactory, the fellowship may be terminated before time.
