Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualifications
- The candidate must have a PhD in Biotechnology with first class in Master’s Degree.
- A minimum of 1 year experience in teaching MSc Biotechnology in reputed National Institutes.
Desirable Qualifications– Experience in Laboratory practicals with molecular biology, cell biology, microbiology and immunology.
Age– Below 45 years as of September 20, 2021. For SC/ST/OBC candidates age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Assistant Professor in the DBT funded project entitled “DBT-BUILDER: RGCB Interdisciplinary Life Science Program for Research-Based Learning” for training and teaching students of MSc Biotechnology Program of Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram funded by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
Emoluments– 57,700/- per month (consolidated).
Duration– Initially for a period of 1 year and extendable up to 5 years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation.
Selection Process
How to Apply-

If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus at the end of the project.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need to apply. Applicants will be short-listed for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
