Staff Recruitment for Multidisciplinary Research Unit, Faridabad, India, invites applications for Research Scientist-II (Scientist) Position from eligible and interested candidates

About- Applications are invited to recruit the following contractual staff on fixed remuneration in the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU) of ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad. The MRU is a project funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India.

Research/Job Area- Life Science subjects (Neurophysiology/Maternal & Child Health, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology) or related

Location- Staff Recruitment for Multidisciplinary Research Unit, Faridabad, India

Eligibility/Qualification–

1. Research Scientist-II (Scientist ‘C’)

Essential Qualifications:

First Class MBBS degree from a university recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) with minimum of 2 years research experience in Pathology, Genetics or Biomedical subjects.

OR

Ph.D Degree in Life Science subjects (Neurophysiology/Maternal & Child Health, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology) or related subject from a recognized University with 3 years Research and Development experience.

OR

M.Sc. with a first-class grade in a relevant life science field (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Genetics, or Microbiology) or a closely related field from an accredited university and 4 years of research experience in the field.

Desirable Qualifications: 

1. Thorough knowledge of Medical statistics, Computer applications/Data management, data analysis and interpretation of results of statistical analysis.
2. Hands on experience in molecular biology techniques (Conventional PCR, Real time PCR, DNA sequencing).
3. Working knowledge of basic bioinformatics tools.

Age limit:

Less than 40 Years as on 01.10.2021

However, in case of SC/ST candidates, 5 years relaxation is admissible in upper age limit.

2. Research Scientist- I (Scientist ‘B’)

Essential Qualifications:

First Class MBBS degree from a university recognized by MCI with minimum of 1 year research experience in Pathology, Genetics or Biomedical subjects.

OR

Ph.D degree in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or related subject or equivalent from a recognized University with 2 years Research and Development experience in the related subject.

OR

M.Sc. with a first-class grade in a relevant life science field (Medical Physiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Genetics, or Microbiology) or a closely related field from an accredited university and 3 years of research experience in the field.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Thorough knowledge of Medical statistics, Computer Applications/Data Management, data analysis and interpretation of results of statistical analysis.
2. Experience on molecular biology, cancer biology and Immunohistochemistry (IHC).
3. Not less than 2 research publications (accepted) in indexed scientific journals.
4. Experience of working in similar schemes in Government or any autonomous organization.

Age limit:

Less than 35 Years as on 01.10.2021.

However, in case of SC/ST candidates, 5 years relaxation is admissible in upper age limit.

*Applicants should note that these posts are not under ESIC establishment.

*Tenure of all the posts: 2 Years.

*Extendable to 2 more years based on the requirement.

1. Applicants should note that the appointments to be made purely temporary and there is no right for claiming for any regular appointment in ESIC.
2. The candidate appointed shall work as per the duty assigned by the Nodal Officer, MRU, ESIC, Faridabad.
3. Increase in remuneration @5% every two years.
4. No T.A/D.A will be paid for attending the interview or for joining the post.
