About- Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in 1987 as Regional Engineering College. It was given the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002, under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. Now the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has declared the Institute as “Institute of National Importance” under Parliament-2007. Many reputed Industrial houses in the country visit the Institution and select the final year students as Engineers/ Management Trainees. As one of the National Institutes of Technology (NIT), the Institute has the responsibility of providing high-quality education in Engineering, Technology, and Sciences to produce a competent technical and scientific workforce for the country. Eligibility/Qualification–
Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar invites applications from the serving or retired scientists, academicians, engineers, professionals and practitioners, policy makers in teaching/training/research, officials and managers for engagement as Adjunct Faculty in the following departments having experience of working in:
- Reputed industries
- Central/State/ PSUs
- R&D organisations and academic Institutions of Central/State Government
- Civil Servants and Professionals & Officials from Professional Councils and Statutory bodies
- Persons working with reputed overseas Academic, Research and Industrial organisations having a demonstrated interest in Indian issues.
The candidates for adjunct faculty need to satisfy the following requirements:
- Must be an accomplished professional in his / her field of discipline, comparable to at least the top one third of the regular faculty in professional expertise and reputation in their own fields and organizations.
- His / Her association must add value to the academic programmes / students /departments /Institute.
- Normally, it is desirable that the person should have at least 10 years of experience in relevant field, however in emerging and cutting edge technologies, the persons with more than 5 years of experience can also be considered.
- In case a candidate is from an Industry / Research Organization, his / her domain knowledge should be of significant value. The possession of Post graduate / PhD degrees may not be an essential qualification.
