Eligibility/Qualification–
- For Engineering and Technology: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech.
- For M.C.A: B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech.
OR
B.E./B.Tech. and M.C.A with 1st class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A
OR M.C.A with 1st class or equivalent with 2 (two) years of relevant experience.
AGE: Not more than 36 years as of 01.01.2021.
Note:
- Equivalence for Ph.D. is based on publication of 5 International Journal papers, each Journal having a Cumulative Impact Index of not less than 2.0, with incumbent as the main author and all 5 publications being in the authors’ area of specialization.
- Ph.D. shall be from a recognized University.
- For an incumbent Assistant Professor, experience at the level of Assistant Professor will be consideredequivalent to experience at the level of Associate Professor, provided the incumbent Assistant Professor has acquired or acquires Ph.D. Degree in the relevant discipline.
Experience at diploma institutions is also considered equivalent to experience in degree level institutions at appropriate level and as applicable.
Job/Position Description-
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGICAL COLLEGES IN W.B.G.S UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION, GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL.
PAY: Rs. 15,600/- – 39,100/- Plus AGP Rs. 6,000/- ( Unrevised)
As per ROPA 2019 Revised Pay (at Level 10 with entry pay of Rs.57,700/-)
FEE : Rs. 210/-(Rupees two hundred ten) only
Candidates may in addition have to bear the following charges:
| For online payment through debit/credit cards: | Convenience fee @ 1% of the examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on such convenience fee. |
| For online payment using net banking facility: | A convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on such convenience fee. |
| For offline payment through Bank Counter: | Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only. |
S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (P.W.D.) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay the usual fee as aforesaid. NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO S.C./S.T. CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.
Candidates who wish to apply for more than 1(one) category of posts should submit separate applications along with requisite fees for each.
