About- Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up this specialized institute was to develop human resources in different Plastics Engineering & Technology disciplines as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide. Today CIPET is a premier Academic institution for higher & technical education under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted in all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Testing and Quality Assurance. CIPET operates from various locations spread across the country to cater to the Polymer and allied industries’ needs.

Desirable Experience: Candidates with strong knowledge on Polymeric Materials, Testing & Characterization, Polymer Processing/Blend, Bio-medical Plastic Waste Disinfection treatment, application background and experience in processing of polymeric blends and materials will be preferred.
Job/Position Description-
CIPET: SARP-LARPM, Bhubaneswar invites applications from young and dynamic research professionals for the following positions to work under the project entitled “Environment friendly recycling technology & value addition of medical waste plastics obtained from PPE kit used during COVID19 situation: A sustainable approach towards healthy environment” vide Sanction Order No. DST/TDT/WMT/Biomedical waste/2021/01(G).
Duration of Project: The duration of the project is for 02 (two) years only, which is purely temporary.

- The Candidate(s) have to fully devote their time for the project work and are not allowed to join any other course (Part/ Full time).
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and women candidates will be extended as per DST rules and 230(17) of GFR 2017 concerning reservation of SC/ST/OBC, if applicable.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the Written Test/Interview either in person/online and the date of Interview will be intimated via e-mail only. No other communication in this regard will be entertained.
