About- Nalanda University is an international and research-intensive university located in the historical city of Rajgir, in Bihar, India. It was established by an Act of Parliament to emulate the famous ancient university of Nalanda, which functioned between the 5th and 13th centuries. It has been designated as an “International Institution of National Importance” by the Parliament, and began its first academic session on 1 September 2014. Location- Rajgir, Bihar

Eligibility/Qualification–

Overseas and Indian Faculty Aspirants are eligible.

  1. The Position of Professor (Scale of Pay: USD 30,000-45,000 per Annum)
    a) Outstanding academic record preferably with 60% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Masters’ level preferably with international teaching experience.
    b) Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.
    c) Brilliant teaching record spanning three (03) to seven (07) years as Associate Professor or equivalent position with substantive experience of guiding doctoral and post-doctoral research.
    d) Actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with preferably ten (10) publications as books and/or research/policy papers published in peer reviewed journals of national and international repute.
    e) Evidence of Innovative Courses/Teaching Plan/Research (desirable).
  2. The Position of Associate Professor (Scale of Pay: USD 20,000-35,000 per Annum)
    a) Brilliant academic record preferably with 60% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Masters level preferably with international teaching experience.
    b) Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the allied/relevant discipline.
    c) A minimum of Three (03) to Five (05) years of experience in teaching and research at national and international level with substantive experience of guiding doctoral research.
    d) Actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with preferably Eight (8) publications as books and/or research/policy papers published in peer reviewed journals of national and international repute.
    e) Evidence of Innovative Courses/Teaching Plan/Research (desirable).
  3. The Position of Assistant Professor (Scale of Pay: USD 15,000-25,000 per Annum)/Teaching Fellow(USD 15,000 per Annum)
    a) Good academic record with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale at the Master’s level in a relevant subject from an Indian or foreign University.
    b) Ph.D. or post-doctoral research in the allied/relevant discipline.
    c) Actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of Three (3) to Five (5) publications as books and/or
    research/policy papers published in peer reviewed journals of national and international repute.
    d) Evidence of Innovative Courses/Teaching Plan/Research (desirable).
  4. Visiting Faculty (Visiting Professor/Adjunct/Guest Faculty) may submit EOI for short term appointment.
