Eligibility/Qualification–
- General Requirement: Candidates must have secured First Class in both UG and PG degrees (60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA).
- Ph.D. Requirement:Â A PhD in the desired area of specialization is mandatory. Candidates with a PhD directly after a B.Tech from reputed institutions will also be considered.
- Experience:Â More than six months in a regular position is required for it to count as work experience. Experience as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in top-ranked international institutions is also considered.
- NITK Alumni:Â Graduates from NITK Surathkal can only apply after completing at least 3 years of post-PhD experience outside the institute.
Job/Position Description-
National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, an Institute of National Importance, is seeking to recruit well-qualified faculty members among Indian nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. The institute is looking for individuals with excellent academic credentials to contribute through world-class teaching, research, innovation, and outreach activities.
Designation & Pay Levels The recruitment covers the following positions across 14 departments:
- Assistant Professor – Grade II: Pay Level 10
- Assistant Professor – Grade I: Pay Level 12
- Associate Professor: Pay Level 13A2
- Professor: Pay Level 14A
Faculty members are expected to:
- Deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Engage in cutting-edge research and secure externally funded projects.
- Establish interdisciplinary collaborations and mentor PhD/M.Tech scholars.
- Participate in industrial consultancy and outreach activities.
- Contribute to the administrative growth and reputation of the institute.
