Eligibility/Qualification–

Ph.D. degree in Science / Engineering / Engineering Science or equivalent

Minimum 4 years of research and/or industry experience

Strong background in electronics and/or integrated photonics work

Desirable:

  • Experience in silicon photonics
  • Proven track record of publications and/or patents

Job/Position Description- 

Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for a Project Consultant position under a consultancy/research project titled RASPAC (Reconfigurable and Scalable Photonic Qubit Architecture for Quantum Computing). The position is based in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, under the supervision of Prof. Rajesh Kumar. The project focuses on advanced quantum photonic architectures using heterogeneous and monolithic approaches.

Project Consultant

The selected Project Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Building new experimental setups
  • Installation and operation of advanced equipment
  • Assisting the Principal Investigator (PI) in:
    • Smooth execution of project aims and objectives
    • Addressing technical and implementation challenges
    • Co-supervision of PhD, PG, UG thesis students and interns aligned with RASPAC
  • Taking initiative in setting up a start-up company based on the outcomes of the RASPAC project
