Eligibility/Qualification–
Doctoral degree in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics or equivalent from a recognized university or equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines as per DST-OM number: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/06/2023 are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having research experience in the area of Molecular Biology, Gene Function analysis, Protein Chemistry, Mass Spectrometry based Proteomics, Metabolomics, Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), GWAS Analysis, Computational Analysis of Multiomics Data and Crop Genetic Improvement and gene-editing, with at least one first author publication will be preferred.
Job/Position Description-
WALK-IN-INTERVIEW On September 19, 2025 (Friday) at 10:00 a.m. onwards for the posts of Research Associate-II
Candidates are invited to appear before the selection committee in the walk-ininterview for filling up the purely temporary position of Research Associate – II) (Two positions) in the Gates foundation funded project entitled “Development of climate resilient brassica by gene editing”, under the supervision of Dr. Subhra
Chakraborty, Distinguished Scientist, NIPGR. The details of the position are as under:
Research Associate-II (Two Positions): Emoluments: ₹ 61,000/- plus 27% HRA per month as per norms and as sanctioned in the project.
The Fellowship amount for the above position is at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST and the same shall be decided based on the relevant experience of the Candidate. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi – 110 067 on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10: 00 a.m. along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with the educational, age and experience certificates etc. must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on September 19, 2025. Any candidate reporting after 11:00 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in-interview. The candidate must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, copy of publications and Certificates etc. and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note: Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
