Eligibility/Qualification–
Eligibility: Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or a related field. Candidates with an M. Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics, with three years of research experience and at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal, and fulfils the guidelines of DST-OM number DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualification: Candidates having research experience in the areas of functional genomics, secondary metabolism, and transcriptome analysis duly supported with relevant publications in SCI journals (having at least two first-author research papers in SCI journals with more than three impact factors) will be preferred.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the Gates foundation funded project entitled “Development of climate resilient chickpea and brassica by gene editing”, under the supervision of Dr. Mukesh Kumar Meena, Scientist III, BRIC-NIPGR.
Name of Position: Research Associate-I (RA-I) – 01 post. Emoluments: ₹ 58,000/- plus 27% HRA per month.
The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of post shall be as per Government of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.

The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
