- To get field engineering exercises like road alignment etc. conducted in field forest areas
- To accompany officer trainees on field tours all over the country and other works as assigned from time to time
- Scientific temperament, knowledge and skill to impart training in Forest Surveying and Land Use, Land Use change and Forestry with the use of modern tools and techniques such as GPS, Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System (GIS) for Forest Resource Monitoring, Assessment, Reporting and Planning.
