About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with a number of members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties, and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye-Laws and as per the provisions of the relevant Act.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualifications: The candidates must have obtained PhD degree in Biology with experience in virology (specialization in functional analysis of SARS CoV2 protein).
Subject Area: Functional analysis of ORF 3a Protein.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from the Indian nationals for the position of Research Associate – I in the School of Biological Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata.

Emoluments: As per the rules of the institute
Duration: Initially for six (6) months and may be extended for 6 more months subject to the performance
The position is purely temporary and the candidate will not have any right to claim (explicit or implicit) to any position in the institute.
