About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with a number of members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties, and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye-Laws and as per the provisions of the relevant Act.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential qualifications: PhD in Life Science with experience in translational research with detail understanding in cell signaling pathway and minimum average marks of 60% in B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree. Relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule. Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis in this field, but yet to receive the degree are also eligible. But if selected, they will be receiving reduced fellowship (equivalent to SRF position) until the PhD degree certificate is submitted.
Desired past research experience: Candidates must have experience in molecular biology, especially in translational research along with mice handling experience, could be able to handle Confocal Microscopy, Super-resolution microscopy and Flow-Cytometry instrument independently. Experience in drug designing, RNA-targeted therapy, drug delivery, small molecule delivery and conjugated drug delivery will be prioritized.
Age limit: Should be below 31 years on the date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. rule.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for one RA-I (under ANRF funded project entitled “Cardio-safe and NonHallucinogenic Next Generation Iboga Analogs for the treatment of Pain and Neuropsychiatric Disorders”) position under the supervision of Prof. Surajit Sinha, School of Applied and Interdisciplinary Sciences, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.
Fellowship: As per rules of ANRF.

Tenure: This position is temporary (initially for 1 Year and can be extended up to 2 years, subject to the recommendation of the research advisory committee at the end of the initial tenure). Candidates will have no right to claim (explicit or implicit) any post in the institute.
