Eligibility/Qualification–
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
- Educational Qualification:
- PhD degree from a recognized university in CSE/IT/ECE
- First class (or equivalent) in all preceding degrees
- Consistently good academic record
- PhD Completion Timeline: PhD should have been awarded within the last 5 years from the closing date of application.
- Age Limit: Upper age limit is 40 years on the date of submission.
- Employment Status:
- Not in regular employment
â—‹ May hold temporary positions, but must relinquish them upon selection 6. Institution of PhD: PhD must not have been awarded from UIET, Panjab University
- Mentor Requirement:
- A mentor/guide must be identified at UIET who:

â– Holds a regular academic/research position in CSE/ECE/IT
- Research Proposal: Must include well-defined objectives, outcomes, and deliverables
- Industry Preference: Preference will be given to applicants with:
- Active industry linkage, or

(Under Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics & IT – Phase II)
Applications are invited for one Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF-01) in CSE/IT/ECEÂ under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme Phase II, sanctioned by Digital India Corporation (DIC), MeitY, Government of India, at UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Fellowship Details:
- Monthly Fellowship: ₹1,08,393
- Contingency Grant: ₹1,00,000 (on pro-rata and reimbursement basis)
- Travel Support: Up to ₹2,10,000 (requires prior approval from DIC)
- Duration: 12 months
- Academic Year: 2025–2026
