Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD in Chemical / Mechanical engineering is mandatory. Experience in CFD simulations is desirable.
Experience in using ANSYS Fluent or COMSOL is desirable.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for the temporary post of Post-Doctoral Researcher Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras.
Co-ordinator: Prof. Himanshu Goyal, Department of Chemical Engineering.
Duration: Initially for six months, later extendable based on the performance. Number of Vacancies: 01

We are working with Government Agencies and Industry R&Ds on several projects that involve CFD simulations of multiphase reactors and developing hybrid CFD-ML models that are much faster than conventional CFD simulations. The primary roles are provided here.
- Perform CFD simulations of multiphase flows relevant to the chemical industry
- Employ ML/AI techniques to develop surrogate models/digital twins
- Writing manuscripts based on the work performed
- Working in a team including students (undergrads, masters, and PhDs) and industry collaborators
