About- The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), a Deemed to be University u/s 3 of UGC Act, 1956 is a premier educational institution significantly contributing in the sphere of Human Resource Development for the Defence Forces by way of imparting education, research and training on Defence Technologies to the officers of Armed Forces, Scientists of the DRDO, Technical officers of the Ordnance Factory Board, Directorate of Quality Assurance, Defence Public Sector Undertakings and friendly foreign countries. The Institute is also active in carrying out result-oriented research as required for defence and national security.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Project Scientist II (PS-II)
Essential: Ph. D. in Chemistry/ Industrial Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering with specialized demonstrable research expertise in hydrogen generation/ storage technologies In addition to above, a minimum 03 years of research / teaching. Industrial experience (Postdoc) in the relevant fields is mandatory to the position of PS-II.
Senior Project Associate (SPA)
Essential:
M.E./M. Tech in Chemical/ Energy First Division both at Graduate and Post graduate level.
A minimum 03 years of research experience in high- pressure reactor designing/ fabrication.
Desirable: (for both PS-II & SPA)
- Sound knowledge of reactor engineering.
- Candidates should have good knowledge of gaseous reactions & technology, handling of high-pressure reactors, fire safety and engineering
Preference will be given to candidates with experience strong aptitude for applied research and should be able to plan experiments and write reports and articles.
Job/Position Description-
A Walk-In-Interview will be held at this Institute on 22nd September, 2026 at 1100 Hrs. for selection of ‘Project Scientist II (PS-II) & Senior Project Associate (SPA) to work under the consultancy project titled “Biogas to Methane to Hydrogen” in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Energy & Environment of this Institute.
