About- Institute is operating from a temporary campus at Ravangla, situated at an altitude of 2100 meters. The terrain is hilly, and the weather remains cold and wet throughout the year. Moreover, there is very limited infrastructure within the present campus. Accommodation may not be provided to the selected candidate.

Eligibility/Qualification–

For Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF):

Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology or equivalent with specialization in Information/Network Security. Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis is also eligible. Having publications in SCI journal is desirable.

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Sc. & Engg. / Information Technology or equivalent with specialization in Information/Network Security from an Institute of National Importance/ AICTE-approved University/Institution with minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10) in both B.E/B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech. (For SC/ST candidates 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA)

A GATE/NET qualification certificate is mandatory.

Research publication in Information/Network Security is desirable.

Job/Position Description-

Applications are invited for the following assignments on a purely time-bound research project undertaken in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute of Technology Sikkim.

Consolidated Monthly Fellowship	Post Doctoral Fellow – Rs 54,000/- per month + HRA (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute) Junior Research Fellow – Rs. 31,000/- per month (first two years) and Rs 35,000/- per month (third year) + HRA (if accommodation is not provided by the Institute)
Title of the Project	Design of Efficient and Secure Internet of Things (IoT) Communication Framework in Context of Content Centric Network (CCN) using Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) – A Next Generation Smart Communication Technology
Sponsoring Agency	Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India
Duration of the Positions	03 (Three) years (Co-terminus with the duration of the Project) subject to the satisfactory performance of the candidate.

The selected candidate for JRF position will get an opportunity to enroll for PhD at NIT Sikkim.
