About- Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology established as a full-fledged University has unique honor of being called “First Agriculture University of the third millennium and the 21st century“. It is committed to a unique mandate of integrating education research and extension so as to serve the rural people. The University was established on 2nd October 2000 under Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (revised) 1958 gazette and notified vide 3204A/X12-8-2000. It was inaugurated on 28th March 2002 by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. It is recognized and funded by U.P. Govt. & ICAR, Govt. of India. It is included in the list of recognized Universities maintained by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of India.
Research/Job Area-

Eligibility/Qualification–
Note 1 : As per U.P. Govt. order no. 27/ 2019 / 813 /67—Th–cft131-19-7.4?4,-3003 / 82 dated 25 September 2019, the 100 point reservation roster considering the university as a unit and arranging the name of departments in Hindi alphabet has been applied on the above-mentioned posts of Associate Professors.
Note 2:The qualification as per AICTE has been given in the core discipline of Engineering for the Associate Professors posts of College of Technology and College of Post Harvest Technology and Food Processing. For the remaining discipline, qualification is as per UGC.
Note 3: The posts reserved for the PWD category will remain vacant if the candidates of the PWD category are not found suitable.
Associate Professor (Sr.No.A1, A2, A3, Bl, B3, 85, B6, Cl, C2, C3, C8, Dl, D2, D3, D4, El and E2) eligibility :
- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied / relevant disciplines.
- A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
- A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic /research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix -II and Table -2.
Associate Professor (Sr.No. B2, B4, C4, C5, C6 and C7)
- Ph.D. degree in relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s Level in the relevant branch.
AND
- At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals /UGC/AICTE approved list of journals.
AND
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/ research/ industry out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience and a total research score of Seventy five (75) as per the criteria given in Appendix -11 and Table -2.
