Research/Job Area- Theoretical or computational chemistry
Location- Uppsala Biomedical Centre, Uppsala University, Sweden
Eligibility/Qualification–
- To be eligible to apply you must have a Ph.D. in theoretical or computational chemistry, or an exam which is judged comparable to a Swedish Ph.D. in the same subject.
- The Ph.D. has to have been completed within three years of the application deadline.
- If you received your PhD earlier but special circumstances, prolonged periods of illness, parental leave, military service, union duties and others of similar character, exist you are also eligible to apply.
Additional qualifications:
Documented experience, with multiconfigurational methods, density embedding, and computer programming, are a strong merit for this employment.
Job/Position Description- This postdoctoral project aims at the investigation of three-center-four-electron halogen and tetrel bond complexes. The specific task of the postdoctoral researcher will be the computational description of the complexes of N-C-N and N-C-N complexes.
Being part of a collaborative project the postdoctoral researcher will be involved into a multidisciplinary chemical environment and will take part of discussions with synthetic organic chemists and NMR spectroscopists.
Salary: Individual salary.
Starting date: 01-09-2019 or as otherwise agreed.
Type of employment: Temporary position according to central collective agreement.
