Regional Centre for Biotechnology invites application for Faculty Positions at RCB from eligible and interested candidates

About- Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of National Importance established through an Act of Indian Parliament by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world-class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology. To this end, the Centre is offering the Master’s and Doctoral degree programs in biotechnology, bioinformatics, and biostatistics, while other degree/diploma programs in niche areas of biotechnology are under development. For Direct Recruitment: a. A minimum of 10 years of teaching/research experience. b. An outstanding professional with an established reputation in the field related to biotechnology and contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching/ learning process. For Deputation: Officers from the central / state government or institutes of national importance or universities / university-level institution/research institutions or PSU a) holding an analogous post, or 5-years’ experience in the lower scale. b) possessing educational qualification as prescribed for the post.
Associate Professor	Level 13A2	2 (UR) 50 years for Direct Recruitment and 60 years for Deputation/Contract	A Ph.D. in Life Science / allied discipline with evidence of independent research and high-quality publications actively engaged in research with evidence of attracting extramural grants.	For Direct Recruitment: a. A minimum of 6 years of teaching/research experience. b. A professional with demonstrated expertise in the field related to biotechnology and contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology-mediated teaching/learning process. For Deputation: Officers from the central / state government or institutes of national importance or universities / university-level institutions, research institutions, or PSU a) holding analogous post or 5years’ experience in the lower scale. b) possessing educational
				qualification as prescribed for the post.
Assistant Professor	Level 12	4 (3 UR, 1 OBC) 45 years for Direct Recruitment	An excellent academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in Life Science/allied discipline and evidence of high-quality research training in the form of scientific publications or patents.	Minimum of 3 years of productive post-doctoral research work or equivalent experience as a Sr. lecturer / Lecturer teaching postgraduate students.
