About- The following vacancy is available in the DBT Apex Biotechnology Information Center (BTIC) Project at ICGEB, New Delhi, India. The position is available for a period of 6 months, which will be extended based on performance of work. Salaries will be offered as per DBT norms, educational qualification and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview at ICGEB. Only the selected candidates will be informed individually. No TA/DA or accommodation will be offered to the candidates attending the interview.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Minimum Educational Qualification, desirable experience and expected duties:

Candidates should hold a Ph.D., preferably in Bioinformatics or any Biological Sciences.

Desirable experience: the experience in managing, administering, and reporting bioinformatics
research projects, organizing meetings.

Job/Position Description-

Expected duties: The candidates will be responsible for the day to day activities of the Centre, set out by DBT for the centre, which includes but not limited to organizing (in coordination with DBT) Apex BTIC meetings, BTISNet/NEBINet meetings, training
programmes, outreach activities, maintaining the records, internal auditing, communication with BTISNET nodes, handling of the Apex BTIC project related project documents and reports, management and development of websites and repositories, creating databases, analysing the databases, and duties given to her/him, time to time by the centre coordinator.

He/she must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Consolidated salary: 94,144 INR/month.
