About- Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology (Digital University of Kerala) was established in 2020 by the Government of Kerala by upgrading the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Kerala. It is a non-affiliating research and post graduate teaching University in the State of Kerala to facilitate and promote studies, research, incubation and extension work in Digital Technologies and its application domains in Science, Engineering and Humanities. It is the first Digital University in the state.

Eligibility/Qualification–

1. Assistant Professor – School of Digital Sciences Job Code: AP-SDS/022021/11

Educational Qualifications: M. Tech with Ph. D, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in Post-Graduation from a reputed institution in Computer Science.

Areas of Specializations: Natural Language Processing, Information Retrievalwith in-depth knowledge in Python programming and machine learning techniques

2. Assistant Professor – School of Informatics Job Code: AP-SOI-EDS/022021/11

Educational Qualifications: Candidates with a strong mathematical/ statistical base (First class Master’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics) with doctoral degree in computational ecology (macro ecology); aligned with research interest of the school of informatics, Digital University, Kerala.

Areas of Specializations:Terrestrial Vegetation Ecology and Global Change with demonstrated experience in numerical ecology/ mathematical modelling, and good command of programming and data analytics.

3. Assistant Professor – School of Informatics Job Code: AP-SOI-CB/022021/11

Educational Qualifications: Candidates with First class Master’s degree in Botany/Zoology/

Environmental Science/Technology with good statistical skills and with a doctoral degree in ecology/environmental science (macro ecology); aligned with research interest of the school of informatics, Digital University, Kerala.

Areas of Specializations: Environmental Biology (terrestrial vegetation ecology) with research experience in interdisciplinary frontier areas of macro ecology. Background in ecological informatics will be a desirable qualification.

4. Assistant Professor – School of Computer Science and Engineering Job Code: AP-SCSE/022021/11

Educational Qualifications: M. Tech with Ph. D, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in Post-Graduation from a reputed institution in Computer Science.

Age Limit: Below 40 years on the date of notification (Age Relaxation as per the Government Norms).

Quality Expectations

Ph.D or Postdoc is expected to be completed from a reputed university that falls within the top 500 in international ranking systems (such as THE, ARWU, SC Imago) or top 100 in Indian national ranking systems (NIRF).
It is desirable that the applicant has worked in leading research labs or institutions of high repute. International exposure and experience of collaborating with top scientists in the world will be highly desirable.
It is desirable that the applicant has experience of publishing in top-quality journals or conferences in the areas of their specialization.

Job/Position Description-

Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology invites applications from suitable candidates for faculty positions on Contract basis for Kerala University of Digital Sciences, Innovation and Technology.

Remuneration (Monthly Consolidated): Rs. 80,000/-.

Total Number of Vacancies: Not Estimated.

Nature of Appointment: On Contract initially of a period of One year extendable up to Three years depending on the performance.

The selected applicants are required for an on-campus interview process. You are required to leave aside two days for the visit. This will involve a research talk, meeting with faculty and interaction with the selection committee.
