DRDO, ADE, Bengaluru, India invites applications for Research Associate Position in DRDO from eligible and interested candidates

About- The Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), a premier laboratory under the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), is inviting applications from meritorious Indian Nationals for the award of Research Associate (RA) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions. These fellowships offer an opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technologies and aircraft structures.

Research/Job Area- 

• Aerospace Structures: Design and analysis of composite structures, advanced composite materials, and weight optimization.
• Aero-elasticity: Expertise in aero-elasticity related to aerospace applications.
• Electromagnetics: Radar absorbing structures, electromagnetic design, and analysis of aircraft structures using high-frequency solvers.
• Low Observables: Radome design and RCS measurement.
• Advanced Computing: Python coding and the application of AI/ML for material and aircraft structure design.

Location- Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), DRDO, Raman Gate, Suranjandas Road, New Thippasandra Post, Bengaluru – 560075.

Eligibility/Qualification–

For Research Associate (RA):

• Qualification: $PhD$PhD in the relevant engineering discipline OR $M\mathrm{.}E\mathrm{.}\mathrm{/}M\mathrm{.}Tech$M.E./M.Tech (First Division) with at least 3 years (for Aero/Mech) or 2 years (for Aero/Electronics/Material) of post-qualification research/design experience in the specified domains.
• Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of the closing date (relaxable for SC/ST/OBC).

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF):

• Qualification: $B\mathrm{.}E\mathrm{.}\mathrm{/}B\mathrm{.}Tech$B.E./B.Tech in First Division with a valid GATE score OR $M\mathrm{.}E\mathrm{.}\mathrm{/}M\mathrm{.}Tech$M.E./M.Tech with First Division at both Graduate and Post Graduate levels.
• Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of the closing date (relaxable for SC/ST/OBC).

Selected fellows will engage in research and development activities related to:

• Designing and analyzing optimized light structures for aircraft.
• Conducting electromagnetic simulations and radar absorbing material design.
• Utilizing AI/ML tools for structural optimization.
• Participating in experimental setups and testing within the ADE laboratory environment.

Emoluments & Tenure

• Research Associate: USD 67,000 per month + applicable HRA. Tenure is fixed at 2 years.
• Junior Research Fellow: USD 37,000 per month + applicable HRA. Tenure is initially for 2 years, extendable as per rules.
